PROFILE

Keith has extensive clinical and surgical experience undertaking a broad range of oral and maxillofacial (jaw and face) procedures and is also a leading expert in the management of inferior alveolar and lingual nerve injuries which are often sustained during the removal of wisdom teeth and other dental and surgical procedures. He was awarded a prestigious Wellcome Trust Research Fellowship which enabled him to complete his PhD on the methods of lingual nerve repair.

Keith is a leader in his field and has developed a well-established reputation both locally and nationally. He was a Senior Lecturer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Sheffield and Honorary Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, including the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, and the Sheffield Children’s Hospital for over 22 years, during which he carried out much of the orthognathic/facial deformity surgery in Sheffield.

Keith remains committed to providing high quality patient-centred treatment, putting you at ease and keeping you well informed.

At one80 Dental, Keith’s work includes the surgical removal of wisdom teeth, impacted teeth, broken teeth and buried roots, jaw cysts as well as lumps and swellings of the mouth and lips. He also diagnoses and treats lesions of the head and neck, carries out oral cancer screenings, biopsies and can help with the management of sore mouth and recurrent mouth ulcers.

In addition, Keith diagnoses and treats all types of facial pain and temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) which can cause pain that radiates from the jaw joint and is felt in the temple, cheeks, lower jaw or ear.

Keith is dedicated to his Speciality being Accredited in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and being a Fellow of the British Association of oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
