Sam qualified as a dental hygienist at Leeds Dental Institute in 1993 and has spent over 30 years helping patients improve their smile and oral health. She is passionate about providing the best treatment possible for everyone and keeps up to date with the latest technology and techniques.
Sam believes Airflow using EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy is the most effective and gentle way to clean teeth and improve your gum condition, so this is offered at all hygiene appointments. It also gives a gleaming smile!
Sam is particularly interested in treating periodontal (gum) disease and can provide a bespoke gum health plan. She also enjoys helping patients care for their implants and giving advice on how to clean around orthodontic appliances. Her friendly and knowledgeable manner will give you total confidence in her ability to support you in keeping your mouth healthy.
Sam prides herself on gentle, thorough treatment and loves to see her patients return with more confidence in their smile. Anxious patients are warmly welcomed, and she will work with you at a pace you are comfortable with.
Outside of work Sam is an avid reader, loves to travel and enjoys countryside walks with her family and dog. She is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT).
